The Outline planning application comprised the provision of 1500+ dwellings, inclusive of a new distributor road, the Eastern Link Road which was proposed to connect the A350 to the north of the town with the A4 to the east. The application is inclusive of provision for a new road bridge across the River Avon, a new secondary school, land reserved for a care home, a new local centre, two form entry primary school, 5Ha of employment land and a new riverside country park.
Further to the promtion of the site through the Wiltshire Core Strategy and Chippenham Site Allocations Plan, CSJ led a wide-ranging professional consultancy team across a wide array of key issuesand were responsible for the collation of an Environmental Statement (ES), further to the preparation and submission of Screening and Scoping Report. CSJ prepared a Non-Technical Summary of the ES and a comprehensive Planning Supporting Statement to detail the site’s history and significant planning benefits.
