Planning Consent Granted for Former School Site - South Bristol

CSJ Planning Consultants acting as agent and planning consultants on behalf of Bristol City Council, have gained planning consent subject to a planning agreement for up to 350 residential dwellings and associated open space at a former school site on Hawkfield Road, Bristol.

This is the culmination of an extremely thorough consultation exercise that started in June 2017, culminating in a Master Plan and Design Codes that accompanied an outline planning application for this site. The Master Planning exercise will help to provide high quality urban design for this site, which incorporates 30% affordable housing and will help Bristol City Council meet its targets for housing delivery. The scheme density is approximately 55 dwellings per hectare, providing a mix of houses and apartments and integrating public open space within the scheme.

The application is in our view fully compliant for both National and Local Planning Policy and was unanimously approved at Committee on 5th September 2018.
