CSJ Planning Consultants have successfully gained planning consent on behalf of the University of Bristol for the Student Union building on Queens Road, Bristol.  The project includes the complete refurbishment and modernisation of this 1,400m² building and an extension to the swimming pool facilities to incorporate new changing facilities and a new foyer.

The University is targeting BREEAM Excellent for the building.  Built in the 1960’s as the largest Student Union building in the country, its future is now secured for a mix of student and university uses. The building was recently designated as a negative building within the Clifton Conservation Area and this building programme will help to improve the buildings appearance and its setting, as well as its sustainability credentials.
